Death
Naked as we come
When we moved through the wilderness with love
That time
When we dug our intestines out
And the human in us
Gladly bled as a whole
When we scorched our skin
Until the darkest addictions
Cheerfully oozed out of the pores
Until the suffering is no more
And the being in us
Pure,
That time
When we were dodged, when we were fallen
When we grappled with the colorless
Until the origins arrived
That time
When they collected
One by one, the impermanent vessel through which the permanent resides
Pure
Naked as we go.
